What is not covered?

Solgaard warranties do not cover damage caused by normal wear, mishandling, accidents, misuse, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.

Examples of issues not covered include:

  • Scuffs, scratches, dents, stains, discoloration, or cosmetic wear

  • Airline damage or transit-related mishandling

  • Bent luggage frames caused by airline handling

  • Forgotten lock combinations or lockouts

  • Damage from overpacking, excessive weight, improper loading, or force beyond the product’s intended capacity

Cosmetic damage that does not affect the function of the product is not covered.

My luggage was damaged by an airline. Is that covered?

No. Airline damage is not covered under Solgaard’s Limited Lifetime Warranty because it is not a manufacturing defect.

If your luggage is damaged during travel, please file a claim directly with the airline or travel carrier as soon as possible. We recommend filing your claim before leaving the airport whenever possible.

Can Solgaard send me replacement parts?

In some cases, yes.

If your issue qualifies under warranty, Solgaard may provide a replacement part, repair option, replacement item, approved repair reimbursement, or another resolution depending on the product, issue, and part availability.

Common replacement parts may include:

  • Wheels

  • Locks or TSA buckles

  • Zipper pullers

  • Telescopic handles

  • Closure clasps

  • Closet shelves or closet components

  • Straps or sternum straps

  • Select accessory parts, when available

Replacement part availability varies by product model, size, color, collection, version, and inventory availability. Our team will confirm the correct part after reviewing your claim.

Does Solgaard cover warranty shipping?

Solgaard covers standard shipping for approved warranty resolutions when shipping is necessary.

In some cases, we may need to evaluate the item before approving a warranty resolution. If the issue is determined not to be covered under warranty, the customer may be responsible for return shipping or non-warranty repair or replacement costs.

What do I need to submit a warranty claim?

Please contact Solgaard Support with:

  • Your Solgaard order number

  • The email address used at checkout

  • A clear description of the issue

  • Photos or video showing the damage or defect

  • A photo of the full product

  • Proof of purchase, if purchased from an authorized retailer

Please submit warranty claims within 30 days of discovering the issue so our team can review the product as accurately as possible.

What happens after I submit a claim?

Our team will review your claim and determine whether the issue qualifies under the applicable warranty.

If approved, Solgaard may repair, replace, provide a replacement part, approve a local repair, reimburse an approved repair, or offer another resolution depending on the item, issue, and part availability.

If the issue is not covered, our team will let you know and may recommend repair or replacement options where available.

Are products from third-party sellers covered?

Solgaard warranties apply to eligible products purchased directly from Solgaard or from an authorized retailer.

Products purchased from unauthorized third-party sellers, resale marketplaces, secondhand sellers, or sources without valid proof of purchase may not be eligible for Solgaard warranty coverage.

If you purchased from an authorized retailer, please include your receipt or proof of purchase when submitting your claim.

Can Solgaard ship warranty replacements internationally?

Solgaard covers standard shipping for approved warranty resolutions when shipping is required and the shipment is within our supported shipping regions.

If you have moved outside of Solgaard’s supported shipping regions, we cannot guarantee that replacement products or parts can be shipped to your current location. In some cases, you may be responsible for additional international shipping costs, duties, taxes, customs fees, or brokerage fees. Our team will review your claim and let you know what options are available.

FAQ: What if I moved outside Solgaard’s shipping areas?

If your warranty claim is approved but you now live outside Solgaard’s supported shipping regions, we may not be able to guarantee delivery of a replacement item or part to your current location. In some cases, you may be responsible for international shipping, duties, taxes, customs fees, or related costs. Our team will review the available options with you.
