Solgaard stands behind the quality of our products. Below is an overview of our warranty coverage by product type, including what’s covered, what’s not, and how to request support.
Overview
- Luggage: Lifetime Limited Warranty
- Bags (Backpacks, Weekenders, etc.): 2-Year Limited Warranty
- Accessories & Electronics: 1-Year Limited Warranty
All warranties apply to products purchased directly from Solgaard or an authorized retailer and extend to the original owner or recipient only.
A valid proof of purchase (order number/PO number) is required for all warranty claims.
Lifetime Warranty: Luggage
What’s Covered
We guarantee your luggage will be free from manufacturing defects under normal use (transporting clothing and personal items).
Covered components include:
- Wheels
- Handles
- Locking mechanisms
- Closure clasps
- Zippers
- Plastic outer shell
- Missing rivets or screws
What’s Not Covered
- Cosmetic wear and tear (scuffs, scratches, dents, stains)
- Airline damage (e.g., bent frames)
- Lockouts (forgotten combinations)
- Damage from misuse, abuse, or non-personal use (e.g., rental/commercial use)
Airline Damage
If your luggage is damaged during travel, you should file a claim directly with the airline, as they are responsible for transit-related damage.

What’s Covered
Manufacturing defects related to:
- Zippers
- Hooks
- Handles & straps
- Buckles
- Fabric (interior & exterior)
- Stitching
- Locks
What’s Not Covered
- Stains, spills, or discoloration
- Rips, slashes, or fabric tears
- Scratches on metal components
- General wear and tear
1-Year Limited Warranty: Accessories & Electronics
What’s Covered
Manufacturing defects for items such as:
- Watches
- Solar-powered accessories
These products are guaranteed to function as intended under normal use.
What’s Not Covered
- Cosmetic damage (scratches, cracks, etc.)
- Damage from drops or impact
- Water damage (products are not designed for submersion)
- Watch batteries (require periodic replacement)
Repairs & Replacements
If your item qualifies under warranty:
- We may repair or replace the product at our discretion
- For minor repairs, we may:
- Send a replacement part, or
- Approve a local repair (with a written quote)
In some cases, we may reimburse approved repair costs.
